## Overview
Miscellaneous Credits allow you to apply custom credits to a person's account in Art Center Canvas. These credits can be used to provide discounts, handle overpayments, or manage specific financial adjustments.

## Step-by-Step Instructions
### 1. Navigate to the Account Page
- Go to the **person's page** you wish to apply the credit to.
- Click the **'To Acct Page'** button to access their **Account Page**.
### 2. Select Miscellaneous Credit
- Under the **Item Type** dropdown, choose **'Misc. Credit'**.
- For **Distribution Account**, select the relevant account from the dropdown list.
- In the **Explanation** field, provide a **brief description** of the credit's purpose.
- Enter the **Item Amount**, ensuring the **amount is negative** (e.g., **-100.00**).
### 3. Add the Account Item
- Click the **'Add Account Item'** button.
- The new item will appear on the **right side of the screen**.
### 4. Apply the Credit
- Return to the **person's account**.
- Under the **Account Tab**, locate the newly added credit.
- Click the **'Apply'** button next to the credit.
### 5. Register for a Class or Purchase
- Click on **'Purchases and Registration'** to navigate to the **Registration Page**.
- Select the desired **class** by checking the box next to it.
- Click on the **shopping cart symbol** to add the class to the cart.
### 6. Confirm the Credit Application
- Under the **Account Tab**, verify that the **discount** has been applied.
- The credit should **automatically reduce** the class fee by the specified amount (e.g., **$100**).
- Click the **'Apply'** button to finalize the discount.
### 7. Complete the Checkout
- Click the **'Checkout'** button located on the **right side** of the screen in the **Register Tape box**.
- Follow the standard checkout process to complete the transaction.
